We are delighted to confirm that we continue to hold the prestigious 'Secured by Design' Company License. Britannia has again successfully been selected as an installer and supplier of 'Police Preferred Specification' security products.

'Secured by Design' is the UK Police initiative supporting the principles of designing out crime, creating a safer and more secure environment.

'Secured by Design' is owned by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), backed by the Home Office and administered by approximately 400 trained Police staff. It gives specific ongoing support to all Local Authorities via 'Secured by Design' Liaison Officer (ALO's) to assist in upholding section 17 of the Crime And Disorder Act.

'High standards of physical security' are central to 'Secured by Design' philosophy and facilitate implementation for architects, developers, builders and all Local Authorities. Britannia's historical drive for LPCB Certification for the manufactured shutters and security gates we use, together with a thorough vetting of the Company, has led to this highly respected award.
