Britannia Security Shutters have been developed in the UK to provide an architecturally compatible answer to the growing need for vandalism and burglary protection on domestic and commercial property

High-security
High Security Shutter installation for Hampshire County Council in 1995 to
combat an ever increasing number of break-ins, vandalism and computer thefts. In
the last ten years to 2005, there have been no further break-ins.

Shop front
Britannia were commissioned by a Southampton retailer at the instruction of their
insurance company because of regular incidences of broken window vandalism and
smash-n-grab break-ins.

Built-in
The shutters on this cricket pavilion were designed and implemented by liaising with the
architect. The built in shutters were installed to prevent vandalism and theft. When open, these
shutters disappear from view, and do not detract from the elegance of the property.

Domestic
This coastal property was frequently experiencing window breakage due to high winds and
airborne debris. These high security shutters were selected to to protect the windows
and doors from the elements and offer burglary prevention, whilst remaining aesthetically pleasing.

Domestic
This shutter was fitted to a French door at the rear of a property that had
recently been the victim of a significant burglary.

Built-in
This domestic shutter installation was planned in conjunction with the architect to not
only provide a greater level of security, but to also provide climactic protection such as
retention of heat, shading from direct sunlight and prevention of fading of carpets and curtains.

High-security
This High Security installation was ordered by Lombard Finance following several break-ins
which had resulted in computers being stolen.

Industrial
This Industrial Shutter, with integral wicket door was installed at a major equipment hire
company on a secluded industrial estate for regular pedestrian access, whilst allowing full
access for large delivery vehicles.
